Marquette Lake Bridge at Fort Indiantown Gap
Little Buffalo Creek Bridge, Perry County
Our 2023 bridge project on Little Buffalo Road, Perry County was nominated for the Linda Atkinson Golden Hammer Award at PennDOT’s District 8 Winter School.
We performed a rehabilitation of an existing single-span steel bridge with prestressed concrete spread box beams along with abutment repairs, minor approach construction, traffic signing and paint.
Our unique feature of the design was the 3/4 inch recessed panel detail that was depicted for the bridge parapets. This made the bridge superstructure stand out compared to normal bridge parapet wall construction and enhanced the visual appeal..
Lycoming Bridge Construction
This project involved the complete replacement of an existing corrugated metal pipe culvert with a modern precast reinforced concrete arch system on Naval Run Road for DCNR in Lycoming County. Work included site preparation with temporary roadway installation, demolition of the existing culvert, and construction of a single-cell precast concrete arch culvert 20′ span x 6′ minimum height.
The installation featured precast concrete headwalls and wingwalls with integrated timber guide rail systems. Additional scope included roadway approach construction, driving surface aggregate installation, protective rock lining, and complete timber guide rail systems. All work was executed with careful traffic management and staging to minimize traffic disruption while meeting DCNR infrastructure standards.
